This is my Father's world.

Here is one of my favorite poems. I read it in my school book:

This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.

This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas-
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world,
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their makers praise.

This is my Father's world,
He shines in all that's fair;
In rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

This is a beautiful hymn we use to sing in Pennsylvania and also at the Quaker church. You should get a hymnal and see if you can play it on the piano.

Yes, we used to sing this in the Lutheran church I grew up in. It's lovely. You should see if you can talk your Uncle Aaron into adding it to our Sunday worship sometime.

When Ash sang this in choir I remember liking it so much. Thanks for bringing up a good memory!
