Typing Test

Happy New Year!

As I said before HAPPY NEW YEAR! To celebrate we are going to watch some planet earth. I made a Kentucky butter cake. yum yum! you can probably tell by the name that there is a LOT of butter. And now I give to you, the recipe.

• Kentucky Butter Cake
• 
  
• 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
• 2 cups white sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup butter
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 4 eggs
• 
  
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 1/3 cup butter
• 3 tablespoons water
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Blend in buttermilk, 1 cup of butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 4 eggs. Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.

3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Prick holes in the still warm cake. Slowly pour sauce over cake. Let cake cool before removing from pan.

4. To Make Butter Sauce: In a saucepan combine the remaining 3/4 cups sugar, 1/3 cup butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and the water. Cook over medium heat, until fully melted and combined, but do not boil.

So yesterday was Christmas. I cant believe we have to wait 1 whole year for Christmas to come again! I wont give you a minuet by minute detailed description of every thing we got, But here are my favorit.

1. The whole Love Comes Softly series!!!!! I LOVE Love Comes Softly!!!
2. 4 more book's from my Mother!! Super awesome!
3. A book about purse making and 5$ ( to buy purse supplies ).
4. The BBC Planet Earth and Blue Planet combo pack!!
5. A purse with money and a gift card to Dutch Brothers!!!
6. PURPLE CONVERSE!!!!!! (I love purple)
7. A beautiful charm bracelet, the charms represent the Christmas story. It is very pretty.
8. Last but not least a Wii!!!!

All this and more came from 3 loving pairs of grandparent's. And my wonderful Mom and Dad.

I gave my Dad a scarf I made. To Abi, Lily, and Hope I gave coloring stuff. Faith got a Horse book. And Mom got a Nancy Drew game from all of us girls. Each Christmas time my grandmother makes each of us girls draw one another name's, and we shop specifically for that person. I drew Abi's name. I got her a Rubix Cube, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with Jhonny Depp.

Tomorrow is Christmas, our tradition is all the kid's wake up at about 5:30, give or take half an hour. Then at 7:00 we are aloud to get up and out of bed, and then jump on mommy and daddy till they get up. Next we rush into the living room, and shriek with delight, at all the pretty light's and presents. When the shock is threw we open our stocking's, and wait for my grandparent's to come over. Then we open all of our presents and the grandparent's to. When we are done we go over to our other grandparent's house, and spend the rest of the day with them. I would like to know what your Christmas tradition is. So please tell me! Here is a link to my last Christmas eve post.

P.S. My grandparent's came down from LA yesterday. And know we are going to spend the whole day baking pie's.

Sickness.

Yes i am sick. It is very unpleasant. It started on Saturday, just with a sore throte. And on Sunday I felt much better. But on Monday BOOM, I am worse. No throwing up or anything. I might go to the doctor today. I hope to be better by Friday, Because we are going to a white elephant party\ Survival class.

O and this is my 100th post. Next time pictures.

Play.

Today we went to the Sleeping Beauty the play. It started at 2:00 pm. But we got there at 1:00pm, to pick up our ticket's. Then we stood out side for half an hour. Went inside and found our seat's. The play went from 2:30 till 4:30. It was very good. After the play we ran 4 blokes, in the pouring rain. We ran till we got to the car. After we got home I made egg's pancakes and bacon for dinner. Now we are relaxing next to a cozy fire.

Hey!Check this out!

Doll House.

Yesterday we got this huge doll house. It is so cool! It is part of our Christmas present. We got it of Graigs List. It has a Front parlor, Dining room, Kitchen, Hallway, 2 bedroom's, And a BIG attic. My mom is rely excited, And so are we. Mom is working on the lighting, so we can put in light's that actually turn on. Later we are going to put a better flour on, and some wall paper. After that we will put in the furniture and let Lily, and Hope play with it. Mom want's to make it an old fahiond farm house.
On Saterday we are going to a lady's house, so she can give us some tip's on how to not break stuff. On Sunday after church, We are going to go with some freind's and chop down a Christmas tree. I't will be lot's of fun. :B
